Information Dynamics Intelligence™ is a flexible framework used to analyze the flow and behaviour of information. It allows businesses to uncover opportunity and meet change head on, anticipate trends, and keep ahead of normal evolutionary curves. IDI focuses on patterns and human elements that went undetected by older approaches to business intelligence – approaches which are proving themselves obsolete.
Information Dynamics Intelligence divides corporate information flow into four behaviours: collection, dissemination, internal loops, and community integration.
Collection and dissemination are behaviours between the company and its clients. Note that we give collection priority: Only by prioritizing the implementation of effective collection practices can we make dissemination effective and relevant.
Internal loops are the information pathways within the company. Flattened hierarchies – an emphasis on horizontal teams as opposed to vertical task management – and the recognition that individual team members are sources of unique ideas and contributions are the foundations of organic companies that are malleable enough to grow with the times. As we like to say, "Use the Talent, not the Title!"™
Community integration is an almost entirely external behaviour. It is the positioning of the company as a member of both its peer and client communities. It is not sufficient to interact with clients over business interests only; involving the company as a player within the clients' communities adds social bulk to the relationship. Remember that people buy from their friends and supporters. Reverse the normal power-play, and watch your clients' passion for your company grow.
